As Vice President of Asset Management for The Sanders Trust, Hurston uses his expertise to help the firm maximize the value of assets in its portfolio. With his strategic insight, The Sanders Trust is able to minimize operating costs, improve efficiencies, and enhance tenant relationships to keep properties occupied while protecting the value of each investment. In addition, Hurston carefully evaluates the strategic positioning of each of The Sanders Trust’s properties, ensuring that it is consistent with their healthcare partners’ plans and in line with organization’s mission..
With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Hurston is well-versed in the healthcare, office, retail and industrial segments of commercial real estate. Prior to joining The Sanders Trust team, he was with Cushman & Wakefield I EGS in Birmingham. There, he focused on leasing, management, brokerage and advisory services related to office, retail and medical properties. He was also responsible for the leasing of the company’s 1.7 million square foot office and retail portfolio. During his time at Cushman & Wakefield I EGS, Hurston was recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as a 2014 Top 40 Under 40 class member. He also served as a past president of the Alabama Chapter of NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association, where he continues to serve as a board member.
